Sofia Vergara's career has exploded since she landed a leading role on ABC's hit show Modern Family. The actress was honored for her hard work by the National Association of Latino Independent Producers (NALIP) with an outstanding achievement award for creating positive role models for Latinos on television, according to LookToTheStars.org.
The gala also featured former New Mexico governor and Nobel Peace Prize nominee Bill Richardson who received a lifetime achievement award. The celebration was held at the Island Hotel in Newport Beach, and the biggest names in Latino entertainment and culture were on hand for the fabulous fete.
