When the cold weather starts to hold sway during the latter months of the year, it can be difficult to find an engaging party theme that will keep your guests engaged. A casino party could be a great compromise that can help you show off your party planning ability and keep your guests entertained all night long.
Start by dividing the room into three or four gaming zones. You can set up tables for roulette, poker, blackjack and other casino games. Enlist the help of a few of your friends to act as dealers, and dedicate the early portion of the party to gaming so they can have some time off to mingle later in the evening.
Since most casinos are bright and colorful places, be sure to hang up some decorative lights, mylar balloons, streamers and curling ribbon to infuse your venue with a festive atmosphere.
Creating a small buffet area with finger foods and appetizers can also help to give your home a casino aesthetic. Use party tableware, catering supplies and imprinted napkins to make cleanup less of a chore at the end of the night.
