Believe it or not, there is an American Pie Council and they created National Pie Day to celebrate one of the most American desserts out there, according to HolidayInsights.com. The holiday is held on January 23rd, which is the perfect time of year to hang around with close friends and family in the warmth of your kitchen whipping up some delectable pies!
This winter party will require a bit of preparation, so be sure to talk to each of your guests to see what they'll be bringing along. You can't go wrong by picking up a few extra pie tins, crusts and a few choices of filling so your attendees have plenty of materials to work with.
